Questions to ask 1) Does the sawmill have capabilities of using 2" as well as 1-1/4" blades? Yes ours does with a quick cam adjustment 2) Is the sawmill completely assembled? Yes ours is 3) Is the sawmill made from steel tubing or preformed sheet metal components? Our is heavy duty steel tube/welded 4) Does the head have a strong support for long years of true cutting? Yes ours has four replaceable bearings. Long wearing/economical to replace 5) Does the mill have standard drive/driven bearing? Or expensive custom bearings? Ours is all standard get anywhere bearings as well as the guide bearings. Very economical and long lasting 6) Is the set works a one of a kind system that needs customs parts for repair? Ours is all easy to get components anywhere 7) How is the unit assembled, bolted completely or welded strongly ? Ours is mainly all welded with very little moving parts 8) How are the rail system/bunks built? Accurate? How? Ours is heavy duty 3" x 3" HSS tubing welded/braced with four cast steel wheels/bearings rated at 800 lbs. each , which gives long life! 20) What type of tensioner / tracking device is used? Ours is a simple no maintenance unit that does both with one tool It has also capabilities of using blade that are 1" too long or short which is nice especially after re-welding broken blades 21) Guard? Are they strong enough to give you maximum protection ? Our are custom formed and welded 16 gauge steel sheet with heavy duty full length hinges.
